The simple lines and textures of this outside scene, as designed by Mark Scott and Associates, are a amalgamation of French Provence design.
Pool Views and Access at Back of French Country Estate
Rooms on the second floor of this French country estate all have a view of the pool from their private Juliet balconies. These balconies are covered by overhangs that match the terra-cotta tile roof. From the first floor, large French doors lead out of the common spaces onto the back patio and landscaped concrete pad around the pool.
French Doors, Boxwoods Create Delightful Curb Appeal for Manor-Style Home
French doors topped with a curved transom window and framed with antiqued shutters offer delightful curb appeal to this country manor-style home in Atlanta, Georgia. Boxwoods in planters and window flower boxes add small pops of color against the whitewashed brick facade.
The landscaping around this historic farmhouse was unsophisticated and dated, so the owners asked Wallace Landscape Associates to make some much-needed changes. Drawing on the family's European travels, the WLA team infused the lot with enchanting Old World touches, like this iron gate that leads to the backyard.
To visually delineate the pool area from the formal garden, Deborah Cerbone Associates lined one side of the yard with flowering bushes. Across the way, a pool house flanked by pergolas gives the owners and their guests room to relax after a swim.
