Blue Kitchen and Midcentury Dining Room
In this open concept apartment, the designer cleverly used color to help define different areas. Gorgeous sapphire blue paint covers the walls and ceiling in the entryway and kitchen. As you move into the living areas, the walls shift to shimmery wallpaper.
A breakfast nook features a custom-made built-in table that perfectly suits the space and adds the warmth of wood to the open plan in this Olympia home. The 14-foot ceilings and large windows flood the space with light thus enlarging the space.
Mid-Century Modern Kitchen With Spanish-Inspirations
This mid-century modern kitchen and dining room features Spanish inspiration using a bold, black-and-white backsplash and blue perimeter cabinets. Four contemporary bar chairs sit at the warm walnut kitchen island with a marble countertop.
With an expansive deck off the rear of the home, installing easy access glass doors was a no-brainer for this couple who loves to entertain. Now there's an easy flow between the two spaces and the breakfast nook table can transform into a cocktail station or brunch buffet when needed!
A large abstract painting and wall-scale window serve as eye-candy for diners at this midcentury modern table. A stylish, statement chandelier illuminates from above and hand-blown vases accessorize a handsome, carved credenza.
Midcentury Modern Dining Room With Eye-Catching Floral Chandelier
Floor-to-ceiling windows allows natural light to illuminate this midcentury modern dining room with a round white table and brown wooden chairs. A polished concrete floor offers an updated look, while framed kids' artwork adds a lively touch.
A wooden buffet furthers the dining room's midcentury charm and serves as essential storage for wine glasses and linens. At the same time, a periwinkle piece of abstract art cools down the neutral walls.
The dining room revolves around a vintage gold pendant light above a Midcentury asymmetrical dining table. The geometric patterned floor tile creates movement against the original hardwood flooring in neighboring spaces.
Mid-Century Modern Kitchen From Sarah Sees Potential
As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, this once cramped and dated kitchen and dining area was transformed into a chic, mid-century style space. Designer Sarah Richardson upcycled thrift store chairs by dipping the legs in chrome and reupholstering the seats. Keeping with the vintage theme, Sarah installed mid-century modern light fixtures and added bright pops of color throughout the neutral space. The owner's original artwork hangs above a custom banquette to complete the look.
Designer Ashley DeLapp created this vibrant space with the whole family in mind. By pairing layered geometric patterns with vibrant pops of color, designer she was able to create the ideal midcentury-modern dining room setting. The round table is flanked by chairs decorated in a yellow geometric pattern, while the gray trellis wallpaper provides a striking contrast to the otherwise bright color choices. The room's credenza not only allows for storing extra items, but serves as a furniture accent piece. Geometric lamps decorate the top of the piece, along with beautiful floral arrangements.
