The custom walnut and bronze door and bronze stair railing, designed by architect Steev Wilson, complements the warm walnut used in the light-filled entry. A handcrafted pendant light by Kevin Reilly hangs in the space as does mixed media artwork.
Designer Elissa Russo creates this hallway focal point with a photograph in a burled wood frame to connect visually to the antique chest beneath. Alone, the photo would have been too small, floating in space above the heavy piece of furniture. But the trim and the carefully placed objects on the trunk create an eye-catching tableau.
In the foyer, an old hardwood floor was re-planed and repurposed to create an accent wall. A unique metal art wall hanging was custom created by Jimmy Don Holmes of JDH Iron Designs in Crawford, Texas. The piece was given to homeowner Bill Graham by Chip and Joanna as a tribute to his service to the country.
A whimsical gold and cream wallpaper gives this once-dark foyer a light, airy vibe. The woodwork is painted with Benjamin Moore White Dove and is used throughout. Finishing out the design are a Visual Comfort light fixture, a pair of Mr. Brown mirrors and a Modern History chest.
Designer Don Sharp creates an inviting foyer that evokes a dramatic feel as guests enter into the home. It was designed to pull the eye through the home for a glimpse of the pool and outdoor living spaces.
Connected to the living area and dining room, the foyer creates flow between the spaces with a soft, neutral color scheme. Modern art and funky light fixtures add both color and interest to the entryway.
An inlaid border on the marble floors delineates the entry in this showstopping seaside home. The space offers a peek into all the main-floor rooms, which flow well together but maintain unique functions. Window treatment and upholstery fabrics are by Kravet and give the space additional style.
