Graphic wallpaper makes for a striking background in this midcentury-modern entryway. Blue velvet chairs flank either end of the wood-and-metal console table, while a sunburst mirror on the wall above rounds out the look.
In the entry of the home, designers chose to use colors that would acclimate guests to the home's bold metallic and contrasting neutral color palette. The artwork does exactly that, adding glam to the space without detracting from the apartment's beautiful views. Patterned wallpaper with a three-dimensional quilted effect was selected to envelop the space, while large scale, gold-leaf lamps sit on a console which emulates the wallpaper patter. To finish the space, designers hung a glass, Rod Sputnik chandelier for a spectacular statement upon entering the home.
A simple glass table is dressed with coffee table books, a candle, vases and fresh flowers for a thoughtful entryway display. A circular mirror creates a cool depth illusion with the changing of the frame thickness. Sconce with square lamp shades frame the mirror for a subtle shape contrast. The dark front door is well lit from the lighting fixture mounted above.
