The homeowners wanted a parlor for more intimate entertaining, so designers created a warm, inviting space to meet their needs. To keep the space bright and light, designers took advantage of the tropical sunlight. A wall of windows to the right of the space lets in plenty of light that can be controlled by sheer curtains. For additional light, two slender windows line the textured fireplace surround, which adds dimension to the space. To help make the space warm and inviting, designers had wood paneled ceilings installed and brought in a beautiful baby grand piano and modern, wood chairs to complement the rich, wood floors that run throughout the house.
This modern kitchen features plenty of light and clean lines. The clean white cabinetry offers brightness that is reflected in the marble-top island. The square brass bar stools with white leather cushions provide seating that is both stylish and functional. A stunning design focal point is the striking modern light fixture.
Natural wood tones mix with black-and-white accents in this sleek, modern kitchen. Guests can enjoy a meal from the expansive, dark-toned kitchen island in wooden chairs, and enjoy the view from double windows flanking a stainless steel gas range.
Carter Design opened up a wall and created a counter to eat at and enjoy the view to exclude the need for a table, as space was limited.
The bleached walnut was a material used on all the cabinetry throughout the condo to bring in an organic wood element that did not overtake the art. Jason Koharik's custom light and the vintage Bertoia chairs add just the right pop.
Texture is the way to bring visual interest to a monotone room. Here, glossy surfaces like the dining table and cabinetry combine with leather, stainless steel and glass to give this all-white penthouse dimension.
The floating concrete staircase is one of Luke’s favorite features in the house — shout-out to Clint for helping make it structurally sound. It’s spruced up for the holidays with cypress garland and black-and-white bows, while wrapped presents ready to be doled out to extended family do double duty as decor.
As seen on HGTV's Flip or Flop, an extra long countertop is a creative way to make the most of the space in this bright white, modern kitchen. Hardwood floors extend into the living room pulling the separate spaces together.
Spectacular waterfront views can be enjoyed from all angles of the deck. From this vantage point, the infinity edge of the pool almost juts into Kalihiwai Bay. For the more adventurous, a footpath meanders from the home down the bluff to the lower tier of the property where a stream and waterfall await.
Neon yellow accents pop in this gorgeous modern living room. Abstract art featuring black, gray and yellow stretches across the wall above a charcoal gray sofa. Yellow throw pillows with a tufted center and yellow flowers on the metallic coffee table add vibrant life to the space.
