The family who own this Southwestern-style home wanted one space in which to hang out as a family and play games, do art and read together. A second living space was designed to be more of an entertaining area, as well as a place for the family to watch tv. In both room, designers punctuated the adobe walls with pops of bright colors: red, green and blue.
An adobe fireplace anchors this Southwestern-inspired living room. The space is filled with custom touches, including the leather-upholstered coffee table and bobbin chairs. A light wall color helps to enhance the natural light in the room.

All fabrics in this family room are stain-resistant, making furniture kid-friendly and easy to clean. The back half of the room was arranged as a sort of playroom, with kid-sized furniture and two fun hanging chairs.
The large, open living room is full of southwestern style from the terracotta tile floor to the exposed wood beams on the pitched roof. A pair of sofas flank the adobe-inspired fireplace, while double-tiered chandeliers add Old World charm to the room.
Symmetry is key in this transitional living room. Centered by a traditional coffee table, the paired white sofas and armchairs naturally balance each other and the wood flooring. Against the back wall, a wooden bookcase and door anchor the fireplace on either side, while the French doors complement the room's arches.
Exposed wood beams bring a rustic quality to this comfortable living room. A pair of slipcovered sofas centers on the stone fireplace, and by the window is a cozy seating area that takes in the natural light.
The custom cattle ranch logo above the fireplace is positioned on a lift to hide the TV at the push of a button. "It was quite an engineering feat to get such a large panel on a lift and conceal the TV with a massive fireplace below," says designer Angelica Henry.
This spacious living room features a floor-to-ceiling Southwestern vibe, as seen in the tall wood paneled ceilings and deep manganese tile flooring. Angle iron accents the fireplace corners and opening, while decorative pottery and other items line a built-in shelf shelf along the neutral wall.
