Claire Paquin's inspiration for this great room was a chandelier located in the Biltmore Estates that her clients fell in love with when they were married on the property and wished to replicate. She also installed patterned draperies in rust, plum and light blue and carried these colors throughout the room. Paired with the creamy neutrals, this color scheme gives the room a sense of warmth and sophistication.
Susan Brunstrum designed her client's second home in Park City, Utah employing a "Mountain Modern," theme, which contemporizes the natural look of rustic furnishings for today's lifestyle. The color palette of the room is soft and subdued, which plays nicely against the room's more masculine elements.
Susan Brunstrum designed the corner of this great room to accommodate the second floor staircase and a built-in wet bar for entertaining. The dark wood tones in these pieces contrast nicely with the neutral hues of the walls, window treatments and occasional furniture pieces.

The soaring fireplace accentuates the room's height, too, by drawing the eye up from the floor to the ceiling. Low-level furniture makes the space feel just as open and also allows for unobstructed views of the water.
The wood detail on the high ceiling in this living space elevates the room from good to great. Multiple seating areas have plenty of room for hosting family and friends, while large windows fill the space with natural light.
