Baby's living the stylish life in this cheery modern nursery that features gray walls and wide orange and white stripes creating a canopy out of the ceiling. An intricate blue pattern on the white floor rug brings another colorful, graphic dimension to the space.
Three-dimensional wall art goes a long way if you’re working with lots of blank space, and the plush variety is so fitting for a nursery. To achieve a more playful feel, mount a stuffed animal head above your crib. Thanks to the internet, you can find just about any animal you’d want – from a deer to a flamingo to a unicorn. For a more modern look, mount a plush geometric shape, like the edgy, black-and-white rain cloud here. Or, do both, like designer and stylist Live Loud Girl. You really can’t go wrong when it comes to fun, pillowy wall art.
Modern meets rustic in this beautifully designed nursery by Vanessa Antonelli. With a subtle travel theme, the space is a peaceful place to rock baby to sleep. Mixing modern furnishings with a rustic wood accent wall is a great combination that works well together.
The hallway that enters this nursery is not exempt from the elegant design. A flat light fixture is used in this space to minimize the effect of the low ceiling and allow for plenty of room to open the closet doors. A hop scotch rug leading from the heart of the nursery to the door adds a fun little touch to this space.
To create this nursery, designers first painted the walls a pewter gray color; then, they added birch tree and owl decals to make the space fun and decorative. Once the walls were painted, designers brought in an IKEA dresser and added hand-crafted owl drawer pulls to tie the dresser in to the design of the space. They also added a multicolor rug, a white crib and a modern rocking chair to complete the space.
This sweet little girl's nursery will also be used as a guest room when the family has guests stay the night, so designers added a plush, teal velour sofa that anchors the long wall of the nursery and doubles as a sofa bed when the need arises. To add symmetry to the space, bookcases on either side of the sofa add toy storage, and sconces add light to the space, while not posing a tip-over threat to the little one.
To ensure a comfy arrival for her clients' new addition, designer Kerra Michele Huerta layered the nursery with a plush sheepskin rug and soft accessories. Graphic black-and-white wallpaper behind the crib will easily grow with the baby, while a handmade sheep from Germany promises to be a great cuddle buddy.
This sweet nursery blends baby blue into a single accent wall without letting the color overwhelm the room. A whimsy pendant light and rug soften the space, while the woven basket offers additional storage beside the crib.
The couple is expecting their second child, so they knew it was time to make some changed to the layout of their home. They had a new "big girl" room designed for their first child, and created this beautiful, modern nursery for their soon-to-arrive second child. The space is calming and has nothing extra-only the simple, elegant necessities. The crib and changing table are white with wood trim, an ode to the simple elegance of nature. The curtains, with their heavy texture, help to block light from the space and extend floor to ceiling to help make this small nursery look larger. The chandelier is modern as well and gives the room a unique touch.
