This contemporary basement bedroom boasts an orange accent wall to help brighten the lower-level space. A large window brings in some natural light. A brown leather bed frame is topped with white bed linens, and a wood desk is paired with a modern white chair. A bright blue lampshade adds an extra pop of color.
“I love everything in my home, because almost everything has a story behind it,” Tamara says about the small touches that define her bedroom. When asked about the inspiration for the range of styles and approaches she displays in her home, she simply replies, “It just comes to me. It’s the hardest when I feel I have no inspiration to be creative but most of the time everything inspires me!”
This California home's design doesn’t stop on the first floor. Upstairs, Brenna, one of Tamara Beltran's three daughters, has a room every bit as cool as the rest of this interior. High energy patterns keep this room’s classic black and white color palette looking lively, alongside a few bright pops of color. Just like downstairs, this bedroom is full of cool little details, like the stenciled headboard and monogram wall art.
Tamara’s bedroom is a far cry from the high-energy of the living area. Away from the bright colors and energetic patterns, this is a space designed for relaxation. The dark gray walls set an intimate mood, overlaid by black and white accents that continue the calm feeling. Warm pops of pink from the bedding provide contrast. The art in this space is simple and focused, a tribute to the designer, her husband, and the home that they share.
StudioHue designed this contemporary nursery to grow with the child, but for now a sitting area with a comfortable midcentury modern chair and ottoman have been placed in the room for parent and baby's needs. The soft gray color will allow bolder colors to be introduced with furnishings, knickknacks and other decorative touches, such as the yellow accent table and wall stripe and lilac pillow and wall square. Who says every little girl needs to be in the pink?
With a spacious layout and multiple sitting areas, this neutral contemporary bedroom is the private retreat dreams are made of. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the room with natural light while offering expansive views.
A pair of full-sized beds stand at the ready to host guests in this stylish contemporary room. The neutral bedroom features punches of green, bringing the outdoors in thanks to the view from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
A green upholstered headboard is echoed in the bedding and small bedside plants in this neutral contemporary bedroom. A rug underneath the bed also features the soothing green color while adding soft texture to the space.
A linear fireplace and intimate sitting area make this large neutral contemporary bedroom feel like a personal retreat. The floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of the Los Angeles skyline don't hurt, either.
