Designer Harmony Weihs wanted to lighten and brighten this powder room to make it feel as large as possible. It was previously very dark with floor-to-ceiling dark blue paint. Crisp white tiles and golden yellow wallpaper do the trick while also adding pattern and texture to the space.
The powder room's custom vanity with a glossy sunshine yellow has a mirror with yellow frame above. The powder room walls are covered in a distinctive Dalmatian-style pattern done in white and sunshine yellow (instead of black and white) that coordinates with the custom vanity.
The kids bathroom has a sweeping mosaic backsplash. Pale yellow walls add a subtle layer of cheerfulness, while the curved shower hits the room with bold shape. A white and yellow cabinet brings home the modern design.
The ochre wall in this bathroom is designed with carefully placed niches that display decorative accents and collectibles. The wall also serves to conceal the venting system and provides visual backdrop for the free-standing vanity, on which rests a stunning arced onyx sink matched with gold fixtures.
As the floor tile approaches the glass enclosed shower, the use of navy and light blue tiles fades into dominantly yellow, gray and white tiling. A stainless steel drain is fixed within the tile for shower drainage.
Bold wallpaper turns this small bathroom into a vibrant and fun space that fits perfectly with the home's overall eclectic design. A wood vanity adds warmth to the space, while a wire mesh shelf provides clever storage. A vessel sink is sleek and modern.
There is no question this Boston penthouse's powder room salutes the eye-popping styles of the 1960s, with its large-patterned, floral wallpaper in yellow and brown. Yet, the white pedestal lavatory, lighted mirror and cone-shaped wall sconces present the look of today. All in all, it's a wonderfully designed room!
This spacious bathroom boasts high ceilings divided by an archway that frames the copper tub area. A Moroccan-style gold chandelier emphasizes the painted arched ceiling. Two separate vanities with dark wood and muted blue cabinets are topped with gray stone counters for a touch of Old World charm.
