Before its makeover, this powder room was dark, cold and lacked architectural interest. Using warm-colored wallpaper, painted white tongue and groove and a waterfall granite countertop, designer Harmony Weihs was able to achieve both interest and warmth in a very small space.
This yellow and black bathroom gets a rich, Old World aesthetic by combining a traditional-styled vanity and accessories with a few pops of contemporary design. The black and white striped shower curtain makes a strong statement against the yellow walls, yet the room retains its polished look.
A bold yellow floral wallpaper provides cheery contrast to the dark tile used on the lower half of this bathroom's walls. The console sink and sleek sconces also contribute to the bathroom's transitional style.
This transitional yellow bathroom has a matching double vanity with plenty of storage space. Touches of whimsy enter into the design via the floral fabric window shade and the chandelier, both reflected in the mirror.
Designer Harmony Weihs wanted to lighten and brighten this powder room to make it feel as large as possible. It was previously very dark with floor-to-ceiling dark blue paint. Crisp white tiles and golden yellow wallpaper do the trick while also adding pattern and texture to the space.
