The bathroom is exactly what you’d expect from a home of this caliber: elegant marble and a huge glass-enclosed shower. Known as Palazzo di Mare, the home was rented by socialite sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian while they filmed their E! reality series, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.
This remodeled master bathroom features a glass enclosed walk-in shower with marble tile. A large, wall-to-wall mirror is positioned above the sink and built-in vanity area, while updated sconces on either side add a finishing touch.
One of designer Claire Paquin's favorite ways to make an impact in the bathroom is marble mosaic floor tiles. "Bathrooms rarely have any opportunity for pattern, with the exceptions of window treatments and wallpaper, so a patterned floor tile is a great place to splurge. Sometimes the small, intricate patterns are expensive, but you typically won't need to buy as much," says Paquin.
A curved, natural walnut vanity topped with Calacatta marble served as a design solution that met the client’s needs. The upholstered door panel addressed the client’s concern about sound transfer. Other highlights, including a custom backsplash topped with a beveled glass, a stone-framed mirror, a hammered nickel vessel sink and Romo’s dynamic Kimura wallpaper, add that extra edge to this exquisite and functional space.
Floor-to-ceiling marble creates a luxurious bathroom experience. The walk-in shower has glass walls for an open and bright atmosphere, while the large window pours in natural light. Brass hardware and accents add metallic glam to the space.
Soft gray walls, marble flooring and a furniture-style vanity create an elegant spot for guests to freshen up. Heather Scott Home & Design removes the wall-mounted cabinet above the toilet, making the space feel much larger and brighter.
