Designer Brian Patrick Flynn says this urban kitchen’s almost 10-foot-long center island was designed to be a spot for food prep and working, with bookshelves incorporated in front of the island that offer a chance to add your own personality to the space. “There’s not enough width here to sit and then also be able to access the door to the basement,” he explains.

Designer Rebecca Cartwright sourced much of the art in the Naturally home from artists with studios or who live in the Serenbe community. She says decorating with local art brings instant character and personality to your home.
A black and white color palette plays out in different ways throughout this kitchen, from the black cabinetry to the mottled black and white of the countertop to the white brick tile of the walls. Floating shelves are used here to great effect offering both storage and a curated design moment.
