With their healthy, vegetarian lifestyle, this kitchen is truly put to work every day. The design features two islands: one island is reserved for seating and storage, while the other houses a prep sink and a very special butcher block pedestal that Lauren Levant designed especially for this project. Made from her sketch, a local woodworker created an original butcher block pedestal from a fallen local tree, with a removable chopping block set into it.
Two islands were created to provide flow and access across the kitchen, connecting the various work areas and provide a nice transition to the adjacent dining area. The space works well on a day-to-day basis and is just as functional when there are numerous cooks and lots of guests.
Simple lines and minimal decoration set this master bath apart. Soft blue walls create a tranquil mood after a long day's work. Marble accents, crystal knobs and polished nickel fixtures add a clean and fresh look.
Designed to appeal to a single client who works from home and loves to entertain, this small kitchen features a clean, contemporary, and functional space for socializing, dinner parties, and day-to-day use.
