A classic wood desk and ladder-back chair add country charm to this white office space. A hanging straw hat complements the country furniture, while metallic candlesticks with purple candles and sparkling glass drawer knobs bring a touch of bling to the old-fashioned desk.
Bright yellow cabinetry creates a bright, sunny kitchen. A banquette with bench seating and ladder-back chairs provides a breakfast area with colorful, patterned cushions and pillows. A vaulted ceiling with exposed wood beams and a hanging lantern above the breakfast area add rustic charm to this space.
Feeling studious? Hide away in this Miami mansion's wood-paneled library with built-in ladder to catch up on some reading. Known as Palazzo di Mare, the home was rented by socialite sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian while they filmed their E! reality series, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.
This updated living room features two gray sofas with several yellow and gray throw pillows. Two black ladder bookshelves are positioned on either side of one sofa, while a reclaimed wood coffee table adds a natural touch in the center of the room. A brown leather Eames chair provides a comfy reading spot.
This enormous masculine closet boasts layers of sophisticated textures. Green felted wall covering lines the back of the closet storage with thin blue stripes that create the effect of a pinstripe suit. Neutral wood shelves and a rolling ladder add sleek charm while custom LED-lit closet rods make clothes easy to find.
A custom library ladder is a fun accessory for the large shelving unit in this living room. The lime green pops nicely against the surrounding orange walls, and the room is unified with thick white trim. A tufted white sofa matches the trim, while wood tables blend with the hardwood floor. Midcentury-modern chairs with matching ottomans complete the space.
For her shed, Sherrod went with a "desert sanctuary" theme. "I'm authentically drawn to the colors jade and coral, so I tied those in where possible," says Sherrod. "As an earthy, crunchy Scorpio, I am inspired by elements of nature, so you'll find cactus plants, live edge teak wood, white moonstones, selenite and quartz, a eucalyptus ladder, jute rug, kilim pillows and linen draperies."
Just after the entry but before we get to the living space, is the heart of the home, our kitchen. No compromises were made in this surprisingly expansive kitchen designed by Randy Jones of Incredible Tiny Homes whose motto is "Choose Tiny, Live Free." Not only is there a stained planked wood ceiling, it also houses a full-size refrigerator, range and farmhouse sink. I’m especially drawn to the way the gray upper cabinets compliment the blue lower cabinets against the wood butcher block counters. Last but not least, the ladder takes us to the tiny home master.
This beautiful Asian spa in spired master bathroom is the ultimate place to relax in this on-the-go city. Twenty six floors above the Las Vegas Strip, this bathroom feels like a quick trip to their orient. The double sink vanity is custom made from zebra wood, which gives the space a more authentic look. A large soaker tub is tucked away behind a small wall so that bathers can still enjoy the view from the sky, but are also given a bit of privacy. The accents in the space also help to give it that private, spa feel. The koi fish on the wall bring in the Asian inspiration, while the cherry ladder shelving houses spa essentials as well as antique Asian accessories.
