IDF Studio was hired by a young, design-conscious couple to transform their newly purchased Noe Valley home into a relaxed, modern retreat. In perfect harmony with the home’s crisp architecture, we created a design that exudes the clients’ warm, understated style.
When paired with crisp white linens and blue pillows, this wooden headboard looks especially coastal. On either side of the bed, floating nightstands give the owners a cool spot for their books and glasses of water.

Go cabin chic with this rustic custom headboard project from Lowe’s. The DIY design assembles thin 1-by-3-inch strips of pine wood in a chevron pattern to create a woodsy focal point for your sleep space.
The geometric headboard above the bed is a custom walnut bed and headboard created by Susan Jamieson of Bridget Beari Designs using custom paint colors named for dogs (proceeds go to rescue groups). Brass lamps rest on black nightstands and a chunky knit gray throw is at the foot of the bed. The room was designed by Jamieson for a Southeastern Designer Showhouse in Atlanta.
