As with any modern building built primarily of steel, concrete and glass, the interior could generate a fairly massive echo- especially when the homeowner had guests over OR her dogs decided to say "hello" to the postman. As seen on Home Town, the Walker's Laurel, MS existing living room was cold and uninviting with a dark stain on the existing wood floor and a solid entry door allowing minimal light into the large open space. After the renovations, their Laurel, MS living room now gives the feeling of being wide open and flows nicely from the full glass entry door into the living and dining areas. The living room features the original refinished hardwood floor, new curtains and blind, updated furnishings and custom art designed by Mia's younger son Bryce. Host Erin Napier said the floors had to be sanded three times to get the old dark stain completely removed to allow the natural color of the wood to show again.
