This master bedroom is oh-so-soothing thanks to heather gray walls and crisp white bedding. Royal blue pillows complement the armchair in the corner, where the owners can switch on a table lamp and read into the evening.
As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, designer Sarah Richardson transformed this once cramped, dated bathroom into a large, relaxing space reminiscent of a coastal beach house. She borrowed three feet of space from an extra bedroom to make room for a weathered oak vanity, freestanding volcanic limestone tub and walk-in shower with body jets and a rain shower head. Light blue wall paint and crisp white beadboard paneling add beautiful yet understated coastal character and are a fresh contrast to the dark blue marble floor tile.
Black barstools, countertops and a range hood create contrast against the white cabinets and light gray walls in this contemporary kitchen. A solid piece of Douglas fir is raised above the countertop on the kitchen island, providing a spot for casual dining. The wood paneled ceiling, which coordinates with the island and flooring, brings warmth to the dynamic space.
A soft blue tint to the glass show door matches the tufted blue seat set in the open floor over a fluffy, faux fur rug. The white marble floor extends up the shower walls decorated with a tile accent panel. A large double vanity set up turns the corner opposite the bathtub. White marble countertop and built in cabinets surround the his and hers sinks under large mirrors and victorian sconces.
Amie and Jolie helped Miranda Lambert add a funky, feminine flare to the bedroom in Bev Lambert's Airstream trailer. They painted the walls white, hung wooden letters to spell “MAMA,” and decorated a shelf with candles, white roses and a squirrel planter.
A fun display of turtle shells decorates the off-white wall. Interior designer Tiffany Brooks customized the skirted bench ottoman under the art display to coordinate with the other colors and patterns in the bedroom.
This contemporary office space is a perfect example of how to liven up a small space. Mounted 3D shelves allow for decorative display without taking up needed desk space. The distressed gray finish on the desk looks gorgeous against the pristine white paneled walls. An upholstered chair with nailhead trim adds a simple pattern to finish the look.
A row of succulents adds a soft textural contrast to the shining copper wall in this patio space. Birch trees grow woven into the arched panels creating a unique 3D design. The blue and white striped patio floor adds a lightness to the space leading into the sittinga rea.
Designers wanted to stick with the nautical theme throughout the home's spaces, so designers chose a navy wallpaper with a sailboat pattern for the upper portion of the walls in the space. To help keep the space from being overwhelmed by the dark, navy color, white paneling was added to the bottom of the walls and carried through to the space's vanity. A wood countertop and white sink and warmth and continuity to the design while it is finished off with a light gray, penny round tile floor that adds a touch of flair.
This lime green door with glass panels opens into a beautiful, open modern great room. Sleek hardwood flooring and white walls blend throughout the space. A gray room divider with cut-out shelves holds the mounted TV facing a gray sectional. A funky chandelier with a petal design hangs in the entryway providing decoration as well as light.
Dark walls and floors contrast with a white platform bed in this eclectic bedroom. The modular bed incorporates a small end table with just enough room for a classic desk lamp. A ruched bedspread and bohemian rug soften the look.
Whimsical wire art and a fun floating nightstand are crowning touches in this stylish, colorful and modern kid’s bedroom. A bright red ceiling and dark floors balance the white walls and furnishings. An array of colorful pillows pops against the pin-tucked bedding.
A painted corner adds dimension to floating shelves in this modern and colorful kid’s bedroom. White walls, furnishings and bedding mix with dark hardwood floors and a bold red ceiling, resulting in a fun and whimsical space that’s perfectly balanced.
This was originally a small guest bedroom that was swapped with the adjoining guest bathroom to create a new and more spacious guest bathroom. Soft, pale blue floral tiles cover the walls, a suspended Lumicor panel divides the shower area from the freestanding tub and a floating, custom concrete sink provides a beautiful sink vanity area. Crystal accented lighting, plumbing fixtures and knobs add a little sparkle to the space.
The green walls of this dreamy master bedroom allow the crisp white of the canopy bed, sheer linen fabrics and furnishings to stand out. A seating area beyond the bed is a cozy place to read or enjoy the view.
This undeniably fun bedroom is a colorful reflection of the budding artist who lives here. Angela's daughter is following in her footsteps and her bedroom/art studio is the perfect space to inspire creativity. Benjamin Moore's White Rain was applied to the walls and trim, then color matched for the drapery and area rug. This design technique creates a gallery-like feel by neutralizing the backdrop, and in this case, allowing her artwork and painterly fabrics to stand out. The crisp white bedside tables pop off of the dreamy wall color and the Pierre Frey fabrics on the pillows and bench are perfect to inspire an artist's imagination. Repeating an additional set of panels and upholstered cornice behind the headboard adds major aesthetic value, style, and an element of customization to this bedroom. My favorite element is the cat lamp, having a "cat nap" on the bedside chest.
Coordinating lime green and white file cabinets pop out against the cream walls in this modern teen bedroom. A personalized decal rests above the desk and below the shelving unit to declare the owner of the space.
Fixer Upper hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines completely transformed the bathroom by removing all of the old and tile and wall panels. The walls were painted light yellow with white beaded board wainscoting. Two ornate wooden mirrors hang above his and her's vessel sinks installed on top of an old painted dresser. New tile floors in a traditional pattern adds to the character of the room and a subway tile bathtub and shower were installed.
