We took an underutilized closet and turned it into a bar by lining it with faux crock wallpaper, then adding studs and a cherished family photo to the back of the door. The built-in drawers were dressed with vintage brass pulls and sprayed in black lacquer while the tray, outfitted with draw glides, is lit from the shelf above.
The midcentury modern nightstand features a dark wood frame with light wood drawers in front of a graphic, neutral wallpaper. The area rug below provides a pop of red color complimented by the red flowers on the nightstand. A gold spike trinket and sleek modern vases join the flowers for an intriguing mix of texture in the decor. A blank pendant light hangs above.
Maintaining a mantra of "go big or go home," Antonio Ballatore, former HGTV Design Star contestant and host of HGTV's The Antonio Project, takes ordinary rooms and makes them wow-worthy. Case in point: this Japanese-inspired master bedroom that features a 3D painted wall mural and a three-panel Asian screen design. The peaceful blue wall color and grass-cloth wallpaper with Japanese waves bring a beach theme to the space. The bed has drawers underneath for extra storage.
As seen on HGTVâ€™s Love It Or List It Too, Designer Jillian Harris took was what once a dark and oversized master bedroom and turned it into a warm and cozy space. Jillian extended the tiny ensuite into the bedroom and created two much need walk-in closets. The paint color (upper wall) is Behr Breezeway, MQ3-21 and the color on bead board (lower wall) is Behr Ultra White, 1850. The night tables are custom from Shilo Living and the wallpaper on the drawers is from Crown Wall covering Clarke and Clarke Clarisse, in color Duck Egg. The crystal handles on night table by Berenson hardware. The bed is custom Queen sized bed in fabric Robson Silver by Van Gogh. The chair is the Janet Chair in fabric Utopia Oyster by Van Gogh. The storage ottoman at foot of bed is completely custom, as is the monogrammed initial pillows; both were made by Window Works.
