This Houston estate in Hunters Creek Village, invites guests to relax in a calming, neutral living space providing natural views of the nearby outdoor patio, beautiful arched, high ceilings, or the wall-mounted flatscreen TV.
In this home, a wall-mounted flatscreen TV combines the media center and fireplace into one location. But style is valued just as much as efficiency here, with the light brown wood frame of the TV compellingly contrasting with the dark wood of the fireplace surround.
A chic grouping of deep metal-framed chairs, a comfortable sectional and a black zig-zag chair surround a cool focal wall with wall-mounted flatscreen TV and sleek black fireplace. To the side of the fireplace is a spot for storing firewood, while all the media equipment is hidden in drawers below the TV.
With all the windows, the curved exterior wall was the only spot to mount the TV. In order to blend it with the rest of the room redesign, Patrice extended the draperies to soften the area and obscure the mounting equipment and “ground” the TV.
In this cozy sitting area, a white leather sectional takes up prime position opposite the fireplace, wall mounted flatscreen and windows. When the game is over, a sliding wood panel hides the tv screen.
A central fireplace provides a focal point in this narrow living room with paneled walls and mid-century style. A corner-mounted TV allows the asymmetric fireplace and unframed art to take center stage while still offering a spot for TV watching. The low, brown sofa blends with the home's myriad straight lines.
