This little boy's room maximizes storage space by incorporating two vintage-inspired dressers: one tucked in the closet and one next to the bunk beds. Intended for the youngest gentleman of the house, the space pairs classic, tailored elements with nickel accents and distressed furnishings for a look that’s both playful and preppy.
Vintage furnishings create a lived-in look and feel. The vintage chandelier and vintage French bed meet contemporary style by mixing in a Crate & Barrel table lamp, an IKEA desk chair and a West Elm desk.
Glam accents, like a sunburst mirror and silk taffeta draperies, elevate the vintage finds in this transitional living space. A tight palette of blues, browns and creams ties together the disparate furnishings.
A crystal chandelier with a sleek, oblong profile served as a starting point for this dining room redo. The hand-loomed rug and custom draperies have a soft sheen, working hand in hand with the lighting to create a dreamy space with subtle glamour. The modern dining chairs and acrylic table base were vintage finds. Custom-designed millwork adds architectural interest.

This open entry features a truly eclectic mix of furnishings — a large German armoire pairs with deep red Oriental rugs, a transitional mirror, a vintage marble fireplace surround and a roll-arm chaise in a textured yellow fabric. Tall wainscoting provides a Craftsman touch with a vintage look to a dining room in a new-construction home. French country furnishings add to the comfortable, time-worn look, while a contemporary light fixture balances the overall look.
A tranquil 5-Star boutique hotel experience set the tone for this master bedroom remodel which we designed for a busy couple with kids in a Boston suburb. The master suite project involved moving walls for a closet expansion, a bathroom gut job, and removing all traces of the dark, dated furnishings that closed in the space. We used a neutral base palette with soft blue touches and layered in heirloom-quality textiles, elegant lighting, and lots of texture. The tufted platform bed and traditional fireplace serve as anchors in the room, which manages to be both spacious and cozy.
