White Country Kitchen With Wall Clock
Fixer Upper Hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines turned the once disastrous room into a bright, clean kitchen with new cabinets, wood floors, Carrera marble countertops and light gray paint with white trim. The old drop ceiling was removed, adding height to the room, and a wooden support beam was added. A subway tile backsplash, floating wood shelves and stainless steel appliances were also installed. Client Clint Harper added the finishing touches to the kitchen by making a beautiful island and vent hood out of reclaimed wood, as seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper.
The Perez family wanted a home gym for the whole family. Since they are all active, they felt like they missed out on time with each other, but with Chip's and his team's designs, the Perezes get to work out as a family with something for everyone.
There's something fascinating going on on either side of the entrance to this room: One wall features a lovely tableau with a console table and striking artwork. The other wall is an impromptu bar with an unusual round mirrored cabinet ready to host cocktail hour.
Contemporary Bathroom With Clean White Tile Shower
Gold hardware and fixtures add a touch of glam to the clean white tiled shower with a glass door. Penny round tile is used as the shower and bathroom flooring, bringing a classic note to the space. Abstract art adds a touch of color.
This kitchen alcove used to hold a washer and dryer. Designers moved both to a new laundry room and turned this space into a much-needed pantry. Painting the shelves gray is a tasteful way to dress them up.
Brightly Colored Lockers at Pereira & O'Dell Athletic Facility
At Pereira & O'Dell, they know that well rounded employees are more productive, so they provide athletic facilities for all of their employees. These brightly colored lockers give employees a place to keep their things while they go work out their bodies after a long day of working out their minds.
Gray walls with white trim create a clean background for this at-home gym. A mirrored wall and barre provide a great place to practice ballet or weight lifting routines, while the vaulted ceiling keeps the small space feeling open.
Look for this topiary style of dwarf Alberta spruce featuring spheres. In the nursery trade, this form is known as a two-ball poodle or pom-pom spruce. It’s a great choice for complementing a formal garden or making a statement in containers. When growing dwarf Alberta spruce in containers, use a commercial bagged soil blended for acid-loving plants. Consider adding shredded pine bark to the mix. Layer a few inches of bark mulch over soil to help it retain moisture.
When choosing dwarf Alberta spruce for pots, consider miniature varieties, like Tiny Tower (Picea glauca conica ‘MonRon’). This little cutie reaches a maximum height of 4 to 6 feet tall and up to 2 feet wide. The slow growth rate means you can keep it tucked into containers for a few years. Tiny Tower has bright green leaves that shift to gray as they mature. It’s hardy in Zones 3 to 8. At Christmas, you’ll often see mini Christmas trees in pots. These are usually dwarf Alberta spruce and can be planted into the landscape after the holiday.
This bright pantry offers open shelving with white wire storage baskets and glass snack containers. Black granite countertops and a stainless steel sink offer space for food preparation, while white Shaker style cabinets complete the look of the space.
Mudroom with Pantry Space with White Cabinetry and Black Pegboard
White, modern slab face cabinets hide a decent amount of pantry space and utility closet and feature great leather handles. A giant pegboard allows flexibility for whatever storage needs may arise. Pegs can be rearranged to hold towels, hats, life vests, etc.
