According to Genevieve Gorder, this bedroom needs some serious help. "A white upholstered hollow-core door as a headboard and layers of white bedding would have added comfort and a sense of dreamy luxury," says Candice. "Acoustical ceiling tiles wrapped in pink cotton to fill the area above the desk would have been a more striking and practical treatment."
The master bedroom incorporates an ingenious barn door closet system. Drawers and cabinets provide storage in the center of the wall for folded clothes and accessories. Slide the barn doors over to reveal hanging room.
Gray and White Modern Bedroom with Blue Closet Doors
Sleek blue-gray closet doors complement the burnt orange pendant fixtures in this fun, yet neutral Malibu bedroom. A wall of glass provides expansive views of the Pacific Ocean. Modern artwork and a platform bed add character to the streamlined space.
For a seamless look, the closet doors are covered in the same beadboard which wraps the walls of the custom closets. When the doors are closed, each of the two closets take on the appearance of architectural focal points. The ultra-white coloring of the closets helps reflect light onto the bold-painted sea-foam walls, resulting in a diffused look which softens the intensity of wall color
Natural light illuminates this modern bedroom with white bed linens and a neutral tile floor. Mirrored sliding closet doors keep the space open, while white nightstands frame the bed. Neutral pillows add a finishing touch.
Double doors make the entrance to this his and hers walk-in closet easy and inviting. Inside, open shelving provides enough space for a few personal accessories—a sailboat, framed photo and more—that give the room a homey touch.
Floor-to-ceiling closet doors in the master bedroom have a grand effect combined with the vaulted ceiling. Most importantly, they create a clean facade to keep clothes, shoes and accessories organized. Open shelves allow the homeowner to display favorite pictures and accessories.
In this bedroom, double closet doors were given mirror finishes and a third mirrored panel added at the end. The mirror trio fits perfectly beneath linear HVAC slots above for a look that's clean and balanced.
You would never know that this fabulous walk-in closet was created from an outdoor storage room. An exterior door and window were closed and removed to allow space for custom built-in shelving, providing ample room for clothing, shoes and jewelry. The light from the sparkling hanging fixture bounces off a shimmery petal pink ceiling, while glass shoe shelves mounted in front of pink damask wallpaper provide a beautiful focal point. Upholstered Closet Doors Add a Touch of High Design
To add a touch of high design, simple ready-made bifold closet doors were given an update with fabric and batting. For a not-too-overwhelming pattern, a transitional geometric with shades of charcoal, beige and brown was used.
