Traditionally, laundry rooms are located adjacent to the kitchen on the main level. Recently, though, larger second-story laundry rooms are becoming more popular. This sizeable utility room features all the desired amenities with a crisp, clean color palette. Design by Hillary Reed Interiors, LLC.
Keeping the small room simple and uncluttered ensures that this laundry room is efficient and functional. A side-by-side washer and dryer fit snugly into cubbies to provide extra countertop space. The black countertops are a nice, bold contrast to the white room. A white subway-tile backsplash adds a little embellishment to the space.
HGTV fan Sassy0239 wanted to transform her contractor-grade laundry room into a stylish and feminine utility space representative of her style. She repainted the walls, replaced the traditional metal shelves and added chic, budget-friendly baskets and storage accessories to make up for the lack of cabinetry. Now, she has a pretty laundry room she actually enjoys doing laundry in (kind of).
This laundry room was turned into a more functional space with new full-height cabinets to the left of the washer and dryer as well as new upper and lower cabinets on the right. A touch of pattern comes from the roman shade and the runner.
This combination bathroom and laundry room offers twice the functionality in one convenient space. White cabinets paired with neutral-colored countertops and bamboo window shades give this transitional-style room a warm ambiance.
