Canopy Bed in Tropical Style Bedroom
This heavily carved four poster bed with mosquito netting drapes takes you to the tropics. The bed and nightstands are mahogany and ornately carved to reflect the colonial influences in Caribbean decor. Soft gray walls lighten the heavy furniture.
A colonial canopy bed topped with monogrammed pillows is flanked on either side by nautical curtains and matching nightstands. A tongue and groove ceiling, plantation shutters and an upholstered bench add further sophistication to the design.
Sleep in splendor in this African-style hut and its grand canopy bed with black curtains. Gorgeous hardwood floors gleam underfoot, while a thatched ceiling soars overhead. Twin trunks at the foot of the bed provide storage space.
Bedroom. The design of this bedroom starts with the bed. Whites, soft grays and other soothing tones make this bedroom positively restful, and did you notice the sofa? The only thing that would make this bedroom more calming would be a view.
This spacious master bedroom pops with Kelly-green walls and a green ceiling. A hardwood floor provides a warm grounding for the cool white furniture. The canopy bed features puddled drapes for a private, romantic place to sleep.
One side of this master bedroom is lined in French doors which, during the day, let in lots of sunlight. In the middle of the space, the designer paired a big, boxy canopy bed with a curved loveseat. Both pieces have slim, modern lines that feel graceful instead of heavy, especially in the light-filled bedroom.
In this traditional bedroom, a tray ceiling trimmed in natural wood molding frames a delicate canopy bed. A brown bench keeps a low profile and shows off the vine detail of the footboard, while a potted palm tops off the space.
