Open Concept Eat-In Kitchen with White Walls and Cabinets
As seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper, the previously drab and closed in, this kitchen has been completely renovated and revived into a stylish, functional space. To open up the kitchen, Chip removed a large beam and fireplace, opening the kitchen into the living room, then Joanna swathed the kitchen in white, creating a bright, classic design. To provide functionality, a custom island was installed, giving the family more prep space and seating, and the addition of new appliances and a subway tile backsplash gives the space a little extra pizzaz.
Contemporary Kitchen With Stainless Hood Above Island
A stainless steel vent hood hangs above the island stove in this contemporary kitchen, and stainless steel appliances are built into the sleek woodgrain cabinets. Heavy drapes peel back to allow natural light and bright color from the outdoor plants to stream into the neutral-hued space.
Mother and baby will enjoy the view from the window as they snuggle in this comfy pale gray nursery armchair, with a white vintage decorative chest placed conveniently nearby to hold a petite adjustable lamp and a charming bunny alarm clock.
This unique home office provides an unobstructed view of the outdoor park by using glass to create the desk. The green Eames chair mixes perfectly with the modern design and blends in with the floor-to-ceiling window.
A dramatic entry to the garden features large native and tropical trees to help hide the view of the property from the street. Horizontal fencing, sculptural palms and large masses of tropical understory all help to create the sense of a lush, expansive entrance.
