Television and Fireplace in Master En Suite
No matter what relaxes you, this bathroom has it. For the TV junkie, there is a television mounted just above the fireplace that helps to provide the space with extra warmth and ambiance. The backsplash of the space is designed to look like water, helping the space to be even more relaxing.
The master bedroom of this turn of the century home was dysfunctional, but the designers moved the French doors to the corner of the room to make the space function smoothly. In the back of the space, the porch was inclosed to make a private TV nook for the couple. The navy shelving matches the tufted navy headboard in the main part of the room, while the open shelves give the couple a place to store their books and small decorations.
The master en suite is a large, luxurious space. To add to the room's functionality, David and Kortney installed two separate vanities so that each person who occupies the master suite will have their own storage spaces. A large mirror with a fun, modern light fixture hangs over each vanity to complete the space.
The vaulted ceilings in this master bedroom provide an open and airy vibe paired with neutral and textured furnishings. Hardwood floors are covered with a textured, neutral area rug that works with the bedding and matching dark dressers. Double doors open to the double vanity bathroom with tile floors and white cabinets.
The elegant master suite boasts a large sleeping space with room for a king sized bed, two nightstands, a console table and a dresser. Adjacent to this space, a luxurious master bathroom adds the perfect space to relax after a long day.
In the en suite of the eclectic master bedroom, designers chose a wall tile that added texture in the space. The brown tile on the walls in the shower and bath tub spaces has a sort of "underwater" feel, creating a softer space and a focal point for the bathroom. In the shower, brown and tan stained glass tile complement the bold wall choice, while a lime green patterned rug ties this master bathroom space into the master bedroom.
We all need a space to unwind at the end of the day, but what better place to relax and unwind than an Asian spa inspired master bedroom and en suite? Every facet of this space is designed with tranquility in mind-the muted, natural color of the accent beams, the bamboo tree and the natural light pouring into the space work together to give the space the feeling of an Asian spa, the perfect place to relax.
Light is a big part of the design of the master bathroom as well. With large windows along the rear wall, a lit ceiling and a lighted mirror, this space is a great place for the couple to get ready for their day.
