Small Kitchen Island Adds Storage and Counter Space to Neutral, Country Kitchen
In the center of this small kitchen, designers brought in an undersized, rustic kitchen island that would add a rich, wood tone to the neutral space as well as contribute storage and counter space to the room's design.
Small Bar Adds Counter Space and Storage to Cottage Kitchen
One thing this cute cottage kitchen lacked was adequate storage space and counter space, so designers created some. They added a small bar to the space. This addition added another several feet of counter space, as well as some much needed storage.
Slender Kitchen Island Adds Storage and Prep Space to Small Kitchen Space
Even though the kitchen space is small, designers wanted to create an open feel without sacrificing functionality, so they added a slender kitchen island with intuitive cabinet design and a long countertop for plenty of storage and prep space.
In the kitchen, a large, neutral island adds counter space and seating while keeping the space bright and inviting. To add storage and bring warmth into the kitchen area, rich, wood cabinets were installed. Together, these features create the perfect balance of transitional and farmhouse style in the home's kitchen.
This country kitchen island features an apron sink, lots of cabinet storage and plenty of counter space to spread food out. Natural wood finish and Calacatta marble contrast nicely for an elegant rustic feel.
Stylish, Functional, State of the Art, Eat-In Kitchen
The neutral, modern kitchen in this open concept home is as functional as it is stylish. Stainless steel appliances make food prep and storage easy, while the honey wood cabinets provide stylish storage for the space. An "L" shaped kitchen island adds functional counter space, while leaving room for several barstools on one side and a small breakfast table on the other, giving the space two casual dining options.
This traditional kitchen has white cabinets with a dark brown island and a patterned tile back splash that adds style to this space. The large island provides extra counter space, storage and an additional prep area.

Boasting exquisite French Country design, the chef's kitchen offers ample counter space for prepping and cooking meals. The spacious island includes a prep sink with gold fixtures, a granite countertop to match the kitchen's other countertops and backsplash and plenty of storage for cookbooks.
The multi-functional wooden kitchen island serves as a prep space, breakfast bar and wine storage for this open plan kitchen. An exposed wooden beam adds some rustic character to the space. Iron barstools fit snuggly underneath the island counter awaiting use for a casual dinner or breakfast.

They installed slender paneling white paneling to add texture to the space, while "L" shaped cabinets with butcher block countertops add storage and counter space. Finally, black and white art create a focal point in the room, while a blue rug gives color and warmth.
