This bathroom eschews traditional wood vanities in favor of modern simplicity: think a soaking tub and a shower with sleek glass walls. At the same time, a tile backsplash adds just a hint of character and charm.
In this appealing bathroom, part of the master suite, designers opted for a clear-coated walnut vanity to bring warmth and sophistication to the space. They paired the wood with white marble called “White Haze" for the walls, countertops and floor as well as glittering accents of polished nickel.
Shauna’s reasons for leaning traditional in the kitchen were purely practical: She plans to be cooking there for a long time. “Marble subway tile is never going out of style,” she says. Even so, the space has personality, with bistro barstools from CB2, Shauna’s collection of colorful drinking glasses displayed on the counter and a vivid runner by Annie Selke’s Dash & Albert.
Shauna fell in love with the cabinet, by Hooker Furniture, while the house was still in the blueprint stage and made sure it would fit in this small space. She had the legs removed to make it vanity height and a hole cut in the top for a sink. Two other twists on classics: damask-inspired wallpaper by Serena & Lily and a navy lacquer pagoda mirror from Shades of Light.
Officially, Shauna didn’t intend to put this Otomi wallpaper by Hygge & West all over the bathroom. But the real story is, she knew what she was doing all along. With the metal and glass table (from Urban Outfitters) that holds towels, this room feels like a spa—for labradoodle Rooney, too.
The clients have two dogs — a chocolate lab and chihuahua — that they consider full-fledged family members. Designer Joanna Gaines took that as an opportunity to do something special in the new laundry room, incorporating a decidedly dog-centric theme and design.
Bathed in marble, this elegant, Mid-Century modern masterpiece is both stylish and functional. With several feet of counter space on either side of the range as well as a large kitchen island, meal prep and serving in this kitchen is a breeze. Storage is not a problem in this kitchen, either. With unique storage solutions like baseboard cabinets and a devices charging wall, it is easy to stay organized and plugged in. To complete the design, this kitchen has fun, modern artwork and gold accents to create this sophisticated space.
The black and white palette of this master bathroom gives a clean, timeless look. Visual interest is brought in via cool faceted tiles on the walls, adding depth without being overwhelming. The floors are concrete with a black matte finish.
