Master Bedroom Features Queen Bed, Dresser and Chair
The master bedroom space was reduced in size during a renovation to make room for a master bathroom and a third bedroom for this midcentury modern home. Even with the smaller footprint, the room still offers ample space to comfortably fit a queen-sized bed, dresser, nightstands and chair.
Moroccan tile transforms an everyday staircase into a beautiful, bohemian display. At the top of the stairs, a woven wall hanging accentuates the well-traveled look and adds a dose of texture to the room.
The master bathroom is big on personality, if not on space. The concrete tile floor is meant to evoke the look of a folk art quilt. The vanity and mirror are pretty as a picture in robin's egg blue. And shiplap walls match the paneling used throughout the house.
If you have solid but unremarkable builder-grade cabinets, the simplest route to a high-end look is adding some height with crown molding. Interior designer Sarah Macklem of The Yellow Cape Cod tackled this project in her own kitchen with striking results.
