Stunning Mediterranean Kitchen with Recessed Lighting
Recessed lighting brings tons of light into this Mediterranean kitchen boasting dark wood cabinets and paneling. Neutral, stone tile floors balance and brighten the masculine, dark tones that surround the exquisite space.
“We have really great hip designer lighting around the house. All of the decorative fixtures throughout the house use LED bulbs, including the candelabra bulbs above the dining table and all the lamps so we have a complete LED story here,” says house planner Jack Thomasson.
Throughout the kitchen and living room, exposed beams and molding, which had been dark stained wood, were painted white to help give the overall space a lighter and more open feel. New recessed lighting and upgraded French doors bring tons of light into the space.
Keeping a muted color palette in a room is a sure-fire way to ensure a sense of serenity, especially in a bedroom. Harmonious shades of aqua and white bounce around the room with eye-catching textural and pattern changes. A soffit provides the perfect placement for recessed lighting above the bed.
Stepping beneath the wood archway allows guests to fully appreciate the vaulted ceilings and clear view of the fireplace. Meanwhile, four plush armchairs create a casual spot for drinks and conversation.
The Gaspar's new kitchen has been completely transformed with new cabinetry, appliances, and wood flooring. The doorway between the kitchen and dining room is now wider and a window was cut to create a breakfast bar in the living area on the other side of the half wall, creating a more open feel, as seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper.
The Gaspar's new kitchen has been completely transformed with new cabinetry, appliances, and wood flooring. A modern black subway tile backsplash, a wood-framed vent hood, granite countertops and a functional kitchen island were installed. The outdated wallpaper was replaced with light blue/gray paint. The doorway between the kitchen and dining room is now wider, as seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper.
White tile flooring, white walls, and exceptional recessed lighting create a bright, open look in this stylish kitchen. Sleek drawer pulls and stainless steel accents add to the room's contemporary style.
