Blue Daybeds With Privacy Curtains
“We have two L-shaped sectionals facing each other, and then we have two niches that overlook the street,” says HGTV Smart Home 2015 designer Linda Woodrum. “Each of those has a chez that is really like a bed, so you could have people sleep there if you wanted.”
To help control the light into the kitchen as well as add a touch of privacy to the space, these blue, geometric curtains hang prominently over the window and complements the blue-gray tile that covers the countertop and backsplash of this kitchen.
Blue curtains are used on both sides of a garden pergola to create a sense of privacy in a space used for meals and low-key parties. The curtains perfectly frame a small table and chairs to create the cozy outdoor dining area.
Sheer curtains wrap around this elegant transitional bedroom providing privacy without blocking natural light. Furnishings are kept simple and neutral, with a gentle pop of color coming from the blue accent pillows on the bed.
Susan Brunstrum designed this bedroom in shades of cream and blue to coordinate with the color palette she used in the rest of this Park City, Utah vacation home. Along with a pair of beds, this room features a comfortable daybed in cream with navy and cream accents. Blue paisley curtains complete the look.
Ceiling beams break up the concrete, while an outdoor rug sets the foundation for comfort. Drapery provides coziness, but also privacy for this space, just off the master bedroom. Designer Bea Pila incorporated daybeds and sofas, as opposed to individual upright seating, to promote relaxation and connection. Tree trunk elements were incorporated to take away from a matched set look.
Floor-to-ceiling striped linen curtains can be pulled together to separate the dining room from the kitchen for increased privacy. The kitchen's light blue island with white quartz counter offers an eating area and extra storage.
Off the pool area in this Florida home is a relaxing guest suite. The opium bed features blackout curtains that provide ultimate privacy. Warm oranges contrasts against the cool blues and greens to create an inviting tropical design.
Designer Tobi Fairley kicks up the color in this luxurious white bedroom with soft blue and bright orange accessories. Draperies surrounding the bed add privacy while a seating area is a cozy place to kick back with a good book.
White walls, soaring ceilings and ample windows give this sunny beach house bedroom a cheerful vibe. Custom draperies draw for privacy and block light for a restful night's sleep. Blue fabrics and sunny yellow accents bring the colors of the beach indoors.
Light Blue Modern Bedroom With White Upholstered Headboard
The room's soft color palette of pale blues and white creates a relaxing environment for peaceful sleep. A tall upholstered headboard acts as a focal point, complemented by slim lamps on wall-mounted nightstands. A nearby window seat features a curtain that can be pulled shut to block light and provide privacy.
Double Vanity Bathroom With Window Seat, Half Curtain and Marble Countertop
A striped half curtain provides privacy while still letting natural light fill the bright, white bathroom. A built in double vanity features a mirrored design of marble countertop, wood-framed mirror and simple sconces. Connecting the vanities, a window seat creates a decorative space for blue pillows to add color to the design.
This master bedroom was painted a soothing blue and features a variety of neutral accents, including the metallic curtains that are suspended around the bed to add an element of privacy. A starburst mirror is positioned above the bed, while a modern chandelier with four lights hangs at the center of the room.
Steel-encased windows run from floor to ceiling on two sides of this modern, urban master bedroom, giving it a breathtaking city view. Variations of gray, blue, silver and gold dominate the color palette and provide a restful contrast to the urban din outside. Custom blackout curtains add pattern as well as privacy.
A calm color scheme of cream, white and pale blue brings a coastal feel to this contemporary master suite. Floor length curtains add privacy from the many windows. A plush, pin-tucked comforter pairs with a mix of neutral and blue pillows, creating a soothing place to relax, and at the foot of the bed, an upholstered bench offers a comfy spot to take your shoes off.
This master suite's makeup vanity takes advantage of the natural light pouring in from the large window bank above it. The light, airy curtains give the space a little privacy, while still allowing light to flow into the room. The neutral color palette and the elegance of nature are present again in this part of the suite with the soft blues and whites of the desk and chairs, as well as the soft linen chandelier above the desk.
