Postmodern Art Gallery in Living Room
The couple wanted to carry their love of postmodern art throughout their home, so designers combined sleek, neutral, modern furniture with the couple's bright, postmodern art collection to create a space where the couple can sit to enjoy their art.
The couple wanted to really show off their postmodern style in the living room, so designers brought in several pop art photographs to create a gallery wall in order to personalize the design for the homeowners and their space.
A gallery of botanical prints adds color and visual interest to this neutral, transitional living room. The gray rolled arm sofa is flanked by matching end tables and paired with a sleek wood coffee table.
The body is celebrated in its many beautiful forms and angles in this space of the contemporary living room. The sketches are placed in gold and black frames, while the sculpture compliments the gallery wall.
A cozy seating area features a neutral sectional and a pair of wishbone chairs centered around a leather ottoman. A gallery wall is created behind the sectional to add interest and showcase favorite prints.
To create the formal living room, designers chose key pieces of unique furniture to define the room. Then, they completed the design with an eclectic mix of art, objects and photography to give the living space a gallery-like feel. To give the space a more completed look without blocking the natural light, sheer drapers with a subtle pattern was added to the windows.
More is more in this eclectic living room with a focus on art and curated collections. The design includes saturated colors from the wall art to the throw pillows on the sofa tucked between neutral modern shelves, with dark green patterned arm chairs perfectly paired with a large foundational coffee table.
Coral-colored X-benches dress up this living room, as well as serve as a room divider. A Chesterfield-style sofa sits against a gallery wall full of artwork and photos. The trellis-patterned area rug defines the living room's sitting area.

A 17-foot mohair sofa anchors this elegant, Art Deco-inspired formal living room. The length of the sofa allows for two separate conversational areas facing it, each grouped around its own mirrored coffee table.
Inspired by his client's custom pop art collection, designer Joe Human packed this modern apartment with bold prints and patterns. In the living room, polka dot wallpaper enlivens the space without competing with the vibrant artwork.
