As seen on HGTV's House Hunters Renovation, with the help of interior designer Jorge Da Rosa, the home owner's created an open, functional kitchen-to-living-room space perfect for entertaining. Occasional splashes of color, like the green tiled backsplash and the yellow inside the cabinets add contrast and visual interest.

Oversized subway tile runs from floor to ceiling around the entire perimeter, creating a charming, bistro-like atmosphere.
Removing a wall between the dining room and living room not only gave new life to the space, it facilitated a structural reconfiguration that functionally and visually redefined spaces. A climbing vine with vibrant pink peonies sits on a gray ombre background, which adds subtle drama that echoes the fabric of the window treatment. Bookmatched walnut cabinets feature clean lines, while a custom pink stove and island make a dramatic statement.

Beautiful dark woods are used throughout the kitchen and dining room to create a warm, welcoming environment. Contemporary elements, like the pendant lights, glass tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances, mix with natural pieces, such as the rattan barstools and exposed wood ceiling beams.
