Outdoor Living Space: Cindy Barshop's New York City Apartment
Cindy loves her West Village location because of its relaxed atmosphere and nearby parks for the kids. "You can actually smell fresh air in the city, which is wonderful for New York," she says." The reality star is currently transforming her outdoor living space — a rare find in New York — from a party place to a play area for the kids, adding a swing, cushioned cement, an outdoor kitchen and tables for family meals.
Elegant, iridescent mosaic tile trims the mirror and custom vanity, providing texture and shine in this timeless all-white bathroom. The clean white walls and soft marble floors keeps this space feeling airy.
Contemporary Curved Living Room With Gorgeous Night View
While the view is spacious and an ever-changing source of entertainment, the furnishings address the comforts of the family. A curved sofa seats larger groups and has a custom curved bookcase that snugs into the back of it. A swivel side chair can be used for reading or easily rotated to gaze out at the view, and a large ottoman creates overflow seating.
The comfortable living room features a traditional white sectional, elegant pink chair and tufted blue ottoman that is washable and pet-friendly. Striped curtains add bright visual texture to the space, while exposed wood beams create definition between the living space and kitchen.
White Modern Dining Room With Sleek Table and Glass Doors
A sleek white dining table and chairs create an artful dining space beneath sculptural metal chandeliers. A wall of windows with glass pocket doors leading to the deck allow for open-air views of stunning ocean sunsets.
A fresh coat of light colored paint and sleek but cozy couches make a huge difference in the formerly drab room. The pops of color throughout and the unique art keep the space young and current. As seen on HGTV's Buying and Selling With the Property Brothers.
Custom built-in shelving is perfect for housing the homeowners' books, artwork and accessories. Gray carpet with a diamond print grounds the space, while comfortable orange chairs with a graphic pattern surround a contemporary coffee table.
Modern Living Room With Maroon Chair and Greek Key Rug
This sleek and modern living room features built-shelving that flanks a comfy gray sectional, while a blue and white Greek key patterned rug anchors the space. A velvet maroon chair and ottoman add a pop of color, pattern and texture to bring the small living room to life.
Small-Space Ladder Garden With Mixed, Colorful Pots
Turn that rickety old ladder into a showcase for colorful plants and herbs. Karla Holley of Small Town Rambler spray-painted her wooden ladder in pastel blue then adorned it with a variety of pretty pots and planters. The ladder can also be used to store garden tools and potting soil.
To connect the bedroom to the walk-in closet, Encircle Deisgn and Build's Klaas deJonge designed a keyhole doorway with a built-in bench. A custom platform bed and headboard are built from reclaimed lumber, while the room has cork flooring.
Turquoise glass tiles cover the shower and backsplash in this bright modern bathroom. A simple white countertop covers the brown wooden single vanity, while a window in the shower adds a slash of natural light.
