Neutral Modern Wood-Paneled Dining Room and Kitchen
The white cabinets, island and pendant lights are a crisp, fresh contrast to this kitchen and dining area's floor-to-ceiling wood paneling. The minimal furnishings and neutral palette let the stunning architecture be the main visual attraction. Architecture by Jasmit Rangr.
In the dining room, the homeowners wanted to create an elegant, bright space, so designers used white as the basis for their design. This allows the walls to reflect the natural light of the windows at the front of the space, making this small room seem larger. Two modern art pieces add a splash of color to the space, while a modern dining table and modern chairs provide seating. In addition to the natural light, a modern chandelier hangs from the ceiling adding elegance and providing light at night and on cloudy days.
Adding clean neutral furniture pieces and the clients own photography to finish the space. Layering texture and hues of orange, citrine, whites and creams add a simple background for the dynamic furniture silhouettes.
The custom dining table in this sleek kitchen and dining area was inspired by the homeowners' visit to a tea house. The table is walnut with beveled edges; a portion in the center can be removed to expose a black metal tray, reminiscent of the table the owners' liked.
An open concept kitchen and dining area keeps a beach-inspired palette with sand-colored cabinets accented by oranges and reds. Opposite the dining table, a large glass door disappears to connect the interior with a patio and sweeping ocean vistas.
Pale walls, ample windows and soaring ceilings create a modern dining room that's filled with light. Abstract art provides a jolt of color and a focal point for the space. Modern barstools take advantage of an opening between the dining room and kitchen.
The dining room of the Severn's remodeled home has been expanded and changed. The wall between the dining room and kitchen has been partly taken down and partly turned into french doors that create a second entrance. There are wood floors, new paint and a modern chic chandelier, as seen on Fixer Upper.
Plush red-orange chairs are the vibrant heart of this modern dining room. A wall-mounted wine rack makes for efficient storage and a fun visual display. And the doorway to the room combines with a pass-through window into the kitchen to make an interesting geometric cutout.
As seen on HGTV's Love It Or List It, Too, designer Jillian Harris gave the homeowners a modern dining space. With a table that seats up to six, there is plenty of space for the family to enjoy or to entertain their friends. She then added a modern chandelier to help bring light to the room. The walls are painted a neutral color and are accented by the dark picture frames and the metal of the chandelier.
