Neutral Mediterranean Kitchen with Neutral Dining Area
As seen on Home Town, Ben and Erin Napier completely changed the look of the dining area in the Watts Residence renovation. The room originally had dark paneling, dark cabinets, dark doors, and even dark railing. The new paneling and doors have been painted a brighter white and the new kitchen cabinets open up the dining room to give the whole living space a fresh, open feeling.
An open concept kitchen and dining area keeps a beach-inspired palette with sand-colored cabinets accented by oranges and reds. Opposite the dining table, a large glass door disappears to connect the interior with a patio and sweeping ocean vistas.
To give the homeowners a secondary dining area, designers added a small kitchen table to the end of the island. Designers used the chairs the homeowners had already and mixed them with funky lighting and a vintage buffet that was refinished in a royal blue to add a pop of color to the space.
Cool, contemporary style comes from the details in this open concept kitchen and dining area. Black wire pendants swoop and curve above the dining table. In the kitchen a high contrast backsplash visually leaps out from around the cabinets.
The custom dining table in this sleek kitchen and dining area was inspired by the homeowners' visit to a tea house. The table is walnut with beveled edges; a portion in the center can be removed to expose a black metal tray, reminiscent of the table the owners' liked.
Neutral Transitional Kitchen Dining Area With Chandelier
A zinc-topped round table is surrounded by wood and rattan klismos chairs, adding a contemporary touch to this transitional eat-in kitchen. A polished nickel chandelier illuminates the dining area and complements the pendant lighting over the island as well as the neutral walls and crisp white cabinetry.
Dark wood floors and white painted wainscoting add richness and depth to this exquisite open dining space. White chairs and table linens accent the dark drapery and dining table, and a flat arched soffit separates the dining and kitchen spaces.
Another modern dining space with seating for ten can be found on the balcony of this penthouse apartment. The stone table and wood chairs create a durable space that stays true to the home's modern, minimalist design.
Neutral Mediterranean-Style Living Room Seating Area
Bobbin chairs flank a glass-and-metal coffee table in this Mediterranean-style living room. Exposed beams and an iron chandelier draw the eye upward toward the vaulted ceiling, while a stone fireplace surround rests on the far wall of the neutral space.
Open Plan Neutral Transitional Kitchen and Dining Area
An elegant wood island with a white countertop serves as the boundary line separating this open plan kitchen and dining area from the living space beyond. The warm wood finish of the cabinet is picked up and continued via the flooring.
