Neutral Kids' Bedroom With Loft Bed and Navy Accents
HGTV Design Star contestant Kellie designed this kid's bedroom on episode seven of season six. Though Mason asked for bunk beds, Kellie chose a loft bed with a hideout underneath. But Mason was noticeably disappointed at the reveal: "Poor kid. He was just looking for his bunk beds," says judge David Bromstad.

This downtown Austin pied-a-terre is meant for weekend getaways. Designers connected the bedroom to the apartment's southwestern roots via playful, cactus-covered wallpaper, then pulled its vibrant green out into the room with accents like the bed linens and pillows.
This downtown loft bedroom maintains clean lines and a modern flair. It features an exposed brick wall with white shelving and a desk to maximize space. Meanwhile, an accent chair and platform bed with floral coverlet bring a whimsical element to the urban space.

Shared Girls' Bedroom Uses Lofted Bed to Create Space
Because this small bedroom must be shared by two young girls, spacial planning was very important. A lofted bed for the older of the two girls creates room for the younger girl's crib and a storage or play space. A bunk bed can replace the setup as the girls age. A light, monochromatic palette was used to make the room feel larger than it is. Fabrics and accents with distinct patterns and textures are used to make the space from feeling too plain.
The master bedroom was converted into a luxurious, serene haven with a color palette consistent with the rest of the apartment. A light wood floor was used in this space for an airy feel that is softer than the marble in the rest of the home. A white area rug complements the upholstered bed frame and modern white nightstands. Chrome pendant lights add a hint of glamour and just the right amount of accent light.
