Kitchen Features Glass Backsplash With Verre Eglomise Finish
Verre eglomise panels with gilded, mirror-like designs elevate the backsplash in the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015 and tie together the design of the crisp white cabinetry and chocolate La Cornue range.
A fabulous La Cornue blue stove is the star of this gorgeous French country kitchen. A beautiful tin stove hood, reclaimed wooden ceiling beams, and an island with massive wood columns complete the look.
The stove wall has multiple focal points including the blue La Cornue stove, a reclaimed tin hood, two curio cabinets and a 2 ¼’’ thick concrete counter top with a silver gray finish to match the hood.
This is the kind of kitchen people daydream about. The design is stately Mediterranean with dark wood details and exposed beams. And its amenities are countless: pizza oven, two islands, La Cornue range, SubZero refrigerator and freezer, just to get started.
It's fun to imagine the meals that could be created in this masterpiece of a kitchen. A top-of-the-line La Cornue range will make any chef cheer; a waterfall marble countertop makes a cool (literally!) stage for prep work.
Oversized Cerused Oak Kitchen Island Topped With Calacatta Marble
A cerused oak island is topped with Calacatta marble, adding warmth and depth to the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015 kitchen. The oversized island is complemented by the deep chocolate tone of the La Cornue range and provides extra storage in the open, airy kitchen without adding visual weight.
A niche underneath the kitchen island is the perfect spot for a pet to perch while you’re cooking – it lets them be near you but keeps them from getting under your feet. Other eye-catching features in this luxurious space include a tin ceiling, a custom reclaimed tin hood and a blue La Cornue stove.
Kitchen Mixes Crisp White Cabinets With Chocolate Brown Walls and Flooring
Designer Kathleen Navarra granted the homeowners' wishes of a light, airy kitchen with crisp white cabinetry and a cerused oak island topped with marble while weaving in her trademark use of color. Navarra turned to rich chocolate tones for the grasscloth wallcovering, hardwood floor and La Cornue oven and hood and painted the ceiling with a sky blue lacquer to add depth to the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015 kitchen.
This kitchen, designer Amy Finley's own, is all about common sense. The kitchen is the gathering place for her five children and for weekly dinners with extended family. Things stay hot in this minimalist kitchen with custom La Cornue appliances, radiant-heated limestone floors, a stainless steel meat counter and hidden warming drawers. The ceiling centerpiece, commissioned metal artwork by an artist from Venice, Italy, was specifically designed to diffuse the bright San Diego sunlight from the skylight.
