Rustic Details Add Historic Feel to Black and White Kitchen
To create the historic, rustic feel the homeowners were after designers included a farmhouse sink, black fixtures and glass pendant lights. Wood topped bar stools and an antique pitch fork give add a rustic feature to the space.

As part of the renovation, Chip Wade added some personal details including custom welded initials of the homeowners in the seating area around the fireplace. With the addition of a garage door for easy indoor/outdoor access, a custom concrete table and all new appliances, the kitchen area is now perfect for entertaining large groups, as seen on HGTV's Elbow Room.

This eat-in kitchen in a beach house is at once comfortable and elegant. With coastal-inspired details, the white space feels grand and befitting of a formal dinner party, but also ready for a spirited family meal after a day on the beach. The symmetry of the room creates a pleasing and calming environment.
DINING ROOM, AFTER: The dining room was painted a light blue color to contrast with the dark blue hue in the adjacent kitchen. The doorway between the rooms was enlarged and given a top window detail. An industrial chandelier serves as the focal point of the room.
