A custom painted sign for Chinook Bait and Tackle from artist Celery Jones evokes a reclaimed storefront sign from nearby Gig Harbor. Industrial style pendant lights are inspired by lights you would find on a pier or dock adding a coastal feel to the space.
In the dining room it’s all about playing with industrial elements. The dining chairs are a unique find from a vintage warehouse in Brooklyn. The mix of metal, wood and curved lines makes them unexpected statement pieces in the dining area. Around a lucite and glass dining table, the area is topped off with a vintage green pendant. A photograph by family friend, Renato D'Agostin completes the space.
A large, sliding glass door leads to the screened-in porch and adds an industrial accent to the space. Large potted plants add life and connect the space with the adjacent screened porch, giving the room a cohesive feel.
Railings are wonderful structures to run along stairs, decks, and other places for support when descending or ascending safely. Although initially designed for safety, they are now rang everywhere from rustic and simple, to an elaborate and refined.
The homeowners wanted a unique kitchen space, so designers featured a hidden television inside the space's mirrored backsplash. The special dielectric mirror was designed and fabricated so that it can slide behind the built-in kitchen cabinets in case the television ever needed to be repaired. The home already had cast iron columns, so designers incorporated them into the home's design, giving the space a more industrial feel.
