Soothing white walls trimmed in blue crown molding create a heavenly effect in this transitional master suite. Where the four poster canopy bed provides a luxurious space for unwinding at the end of a long day, the geometric print enlivens the room and coordinates with its green accents.
Green Artwork Enlivens Transitional Master Bedroom
Taking cues from the botanical prints and loveseat on the other side of the room, the designers brought in a piece of green artwork. Thanks to its large size and subtle hue, the piece easily enlivens the suite.
Stylish Bedroom Features Geometric-Patterned Sheets
Patterns, textures, colors, styles and unique design items mix to create a bedroom with one-of-a-kind charm. The clock made out of a fan is whimsical and industrial, while a knitted chartreuse throw pillow feels homey and bright. The spectacular and simple headboard is made from slightly unaligned planks of wood.
Brown Transitional Master Bedroom With Geometric Prints
A brown and cream color palette creates a soothing environment in the master bedroom at HGTV Smart Home 2014, while bold geometric patterns keep the space youthful. Dressed in a white linen duvet with satin stitching, the bedding is plush and inviting.
Bed linens, window curtains and an area rug demonstrate an array of color and pattern in the master bedroom. A solid, dark wood canopy bed and stark white walls allow the multiple patterns to work together in a stylish and seamless way.

Pattern mixing is a designer's trick for bringing motion and depth into a space. From the overscaled, lattice-like shape of the FLOR tiles to the diamond stripes of the duvet cover to the geometric print of the throw pillows, pattern is used to draw the eye up from the ground, onto the bed and up to the abstract art.
The second-floor bedroom at HGTV Smart Home 2014 provides a quiet retreat for overnight guests. A color scheme of blue, green, white and khaki serves as a springboard for a preppy, sophisticated style. A crisp white duvet and shams, embellished with satin blue stitching, lend hotel-inspired luxury.
Geometric Bedroom Creates Interest and Texture in Neutral Master Bedroom
In the bedroom, designers created a focal point with the headboard in this space. The geometric pattern adds texture and interest in the space, while the white walls and bed linens reflect the natural light in the space, creating a bright, elegant master bedroom.
To connect the master bedroom to its bathroom, the two closet doors had to be torn down and gutted to open up the space. This created the opportunity to add the window treatments as dividers, giving the room a dominant pattern.
Mixed Patterns & Textiles in Transitional Master Bedroom
As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, Amanda Marks and her boyfriend Curtis Goldin installed custom wainscoting around the master bedroom, creating cozy cottage vibe. Teal paint and crown molding complete the walls, while layered textiles in an array of graphic patterns adorn the room.
Elegant Contemporary Master Bedroom With Patterned Wallpaper
Pattern doesn't have to mean an uproar of color. In this tropical-inspired bedroom, graphic wallpaper envelopes the room in a subtle elegance. A transitional love seat positioned at the end of the bed creates an offbeat seating area. The tall cornice box calls for larger nightstands – in this case, a chest of drawers and writing desk.
Bright White Master Bedroom With Patterned Curtains
Once dark and outdated, this master suite is now a *dream* with bright white walls, a chic light fixture and patterned accessories. By moving the bed to the center of the room, designer Kelly Rogers restructured the floor plan and created plenty of spaces for reading, relaxing and of course, sleeping.
Once utilitarian, this master oasis now sparkles with luxury. A watery wood-inspired wall-covering steals the show while clean-lines and circles mix throughout the space in mirrors, hardware, and textile patterns. Ethereal embroidered linen draperies waterfalling a bay window, cuddling the seating nook, all perpetuate a balance of warm and cool, sophisticated and glam in a vividly monochromatic haven.
