Neutral Open Design Featuring Kitchen, Dining and Sitting Area
A personalized, intuitive design incorporating the application of timeless, quality materials creates a home perfect for entertaining. The rooms are defined with the use of drop ceiling details and feature design elements. A wood drop ceiling is positioned above the kitchen island low back bar chairs. The low backs are echoed by the dining chairs. The dining area is accented with a cultured stone wall with built-in fireplace. Windows surround the sitting room creating a unique decor for each section.
Architectural Features Help Define Zones in Open Plan Great Room
Though this contemporary home is designed with an open plan in mind, the great room is still divided into easily distinguished areas thanks to smart architectural features. The steel fireplace helps define two sitting zones, while the second-floor hallway helps demark the kitchen and dining areas.
A large black center island contrasts against the white cabinetry and elegant neutral countertops. The open kitchen features several dining spots, including a breakfast area and raised countertop with barstools.
The open floor plan creates an easy flow through the living room, dining area and kitchen. A neutral striped rug defines the seating area, which features comfortable furniture in a mix of patterns and colors.
Thanks to their metallic trim, these neutral chairs positively shimmer in the afternoon sunlight. Just beyond the sitting area, a sliding door opens right into the kitchen, making entertaining and alfresco dining easier than ever.
