Contemporary Neutral Living Room with Blue Sofa and Armchair
As seen on Home Town, the Walker's Laurel, MS existing living room was cold and uninviting with a dark stain on the existing wood floor and a solid entry door allowing minimal light into the large open space. After the renovations, their Laurel, MS living room now gives the feeling of being wide open and flows nicely from the full glass entry door into the living and dining areas. The living room features the original refinished hardwood floor, new curtains and blind, updated furnishings and custom art designed by Mia's younger son Bryce. Host Erin Napier said the floors had to be sanded three times to get the old dark stain completely removed to allow the natural color of the wood to show again.
The newly renovated living room features pale blue walls, plush sofas in beige and medium blue and neutral area rug. An upholstered chair and throw pillows in bold patterns help tie it all visually together
Skylights and large windows keep this living room light and bright, and also offer a view of the surrounding evergreen scenery. Neutral mid-century modern armchairs add a stylish earthy vibe and provide a cozy spot for relaxing, while a wood paneled vaulted ceiling finishes off the look of the space.
Neutral Transitional Living Room With Blue Armchair
A robin's egg blue armchair brings a bright pop of color into this transitional living room where a predominantly neutral color scheme sets a light and relaxed mood. Additional visual interest is introduced via textures (the natural fiber rug) and patterns (the ottoman).
