Ice Cream Scoop Cupcakes
Present dessert in a new way by serving single ice cream scoops in cupcake liners. You’ll need a variety of ice cream flavors, an ice cream scoop, small garnish bowls and cupcake liners in different colors. Place the liners inside the garnish bowls; then add a single scoop of ice cream to each one. The kids can eat the ice cream directly from the liners or with small spoons to help eliminate messes.
This view of the island highlights the brushed-finished stainless top that has a smooth look and doesn’t show as many fingerprints or scratches as polished alternatives. The island top offers lots of usable space for preparing meals, unloading groceries and chatting with guests.
This galley kitchen in Decatur, Ga., was designed to be a functional yet stylish space that allows for effortless cooking and entertaining. Thus, the room features a deep sink and stainless appliances, gorgeous green cabinets and a wood dining table that seats six.
White subway tile spans the length of this bathroom, making the space seem clean and modern. To complement the look, the designers brought in a sleek mirror, floating vanity and glass door for the stall shower.
The design wish behind this living room: Create a peaceful space that feels contemporary and yet honors the apartment's original details, like the exposed brick wall and the marble fireplace. Muted colors help those elements shine. The coffee table is made of a vintage Moroccan brass tea tray.
To create a relaxing, parlor space, designers used white walls to reflect the natural light of the space. To warm the design, a gray sofa and chairs were brought in, along with purple pillows and a purple chair that add vibrant color to the space. A gray and white rug and coffee table help to define this area, while rich wooded, traditional pieces finish the design with a touch of elegance.
The monochromatic teal color scheme of this modern living room pops against background elements in neutral tones of gray and white. Gold accents bring a modern-retro vibe to the polished space. Roman shades have a similar hue to the paneled accent wall, allowing them to "disappear" visually while still adding privacy and filtering light for TV viewing.
A retractable wall allows this covered outdoor dining room to be fully open to both the interior and exterior of this modern home. Infrared heaters flush-mounted in the wood ceiling allow the space to be used any time of year. Just beyond the dining area is a fully functional modern bar.
