Contemporary White Kitchen with a White Breakfast Bar
As seen on Home Town, Ben and Erin Napier have fully renovated the Luker residence in downtown Laurel, MS. The renovated kitchen is now open to the living due to the removal of the existing wall. Also, the old cabinets and appliances have been updated. The new cabinetry was moved into the living area more so that the flow between the dining area and kitchen worked easier.
This spacious contemporary kitchen features gray granite countertops, custom cabinetry and a plasma TV. Ample countertop space provides plenty of room for food preparation, as well as a small breakfast bar that serves as the perfect space for casual dining.
Three barstools sit at the counter of this contemporary kitchen, offering a cozy place to enjoy a hearty meal. The kitchen radiates a warm ambiance thanks to warm wood tones and a mix of pendant and recessed lighting.
Without the white cabinets, this kitchen would feel too dark and cramped. A combination of dark-stained wood cabinets and white cabinets balance each other out, with one adding warmth and the other adding brightness. The marble countertop island also serves as a breakfast bar to anchor the space.
A white marble countertop creates a chic contrast with this kitchen island's black cabinetry. Wicker and wood bar chairs bring in some warm, natural texture. Glass bell pendant lights keep with the bright and open look.
