Mid-century Modern Living Room Neutral Hardwood Floors
As seen on Home Town, the Walker's Laurel, MS existing living room was cold and uninviting with a dark stain on the existing wood floor and a solid entry door allowing minimal light into the large open space. After the renovations, their Laurel, MS living room now gives the feeling of being wide open and flows nicely from the full glass entry door into the living and dining areas. The living room features the original refinished hardwood floor, new curtains, and blind, updated furnishings and custom art designed by Mia's younger son Bryce. Host Erin Napier said the floors had to be sanded three times to get the old dark stain completely removed to allow the natural color of the wood to show again.

This warm contemporary living room was created by infusing organic and reclaimed materials into the space. Hand-scraped hardwood floors and a barn-wood accent wall contrast with the sleek lines of the home and the shiny chrome accents.
