Contemporary Neutral Living Room with Black Custom Bookshelf
As seen on Fixer Upper, the Ramsey's remodeled living room has a custom built bookshelf that has plenty of room to display their family photos and their treasures they've collected from their world travels.
This room is both a library and a dining room. It features a built-in bookcase with custom millwork, a buffet and niche for art. The look is modern with touches of Asian influence. The dining chairs are also custom and feature Lee Jofa linen velvet with brass nailheads on the back that complement the modern fixture above the table. The window-side table is the final custom piece with a gray marble top and steel base.
This farmhouse-inspired dining room features neutral, tastefully curated furnishings, from the patterned area rug and creamy upholstered dining chairs to the soft wooden dining table with metal chandelier above.
Martha Leone created a custom credenza to serve as a buffet and storage piece over in the dining area. The space also includes a midcentury light fixture, reclaimed wood table and a bench for stylish seating.
With a chic and refined appearance, this dining room pulls in a mostly contemporary look with touches of Victorian design. The luxurious gold and crystal chandelier, floor-to-ceiling window treatments and sideboard mirror represent the defining features of traditional design while using the table, accessories and area rug to deliver a contemporary look.
A chandelier encircled by a metallic drum shade provides a dramatic focal point in this contemporary California dining room. A sinuous wood dining table has a shiny metal base, marrying rustic and modern elements. Inset marble takes the place of a rug, and a series of architectural photographs propped on the zebrano built-in cabinets give the room added depth and dimension.
