Contemporary Black and White Kitchen With Yellow Walls
Yellow walls soften the black-and-white theme of this contemporary kitchen. A small tile border ties together the pastel walls and white countertops. The black shelving, island and cabinetry lead to a bright white tile floor. Stainless steel stools match the kitchen appliances for a sleek and clean look.
In this sleek kitchen makeover, walls were knocked down to connect the kitchen, dining and living areas in an open plan layout. Pops of bright yellow add fun personality and color to the modern space. This kitchen may be small, but it is certainly big on style. Sleek black cabinets with frosted glass panes and classic white tile give the space a timeless look. White pendant lights illuminate the breakfast bar and sink below it.
This contemporary kitchen was designed with high-end features and materials like black marble top counters, sleek stainless steel appliances. The columns with a buffet style countertop, kitchen island and ample lighting make for a bright, open space for cooking and entertaining.
Unique seating and interesting art add character and drama to this loft-like California bedroom. A dark accent wall screens the room from a stairwell surrounded by wall-sized windows. The animal hide rug and chipper tartan bedding bring a fun, eclectic vibe to the decor.
Black and Yellow Contemporary Kitchen and Dining Room
One of the goals in this kitchen makeover was increased storage. Designers achieved that by extending a row of cabinets into the dining area. The long island and cheery yellow barstools act as visual separation between the kitchen and living room.
As seen on Home Town, the Guay Residence has been fully renovated by Ben and Erin Napier in Laurel, Mississippi. The old kitchen was small and closed off with very little cabinet storage. The renovated kitchen now opens to the dining area and a new wall of cabinetry has greatly increased the look and feel of the kitchen. The dark cabinet color adds a strong contrast to the open floor plan, complementing the updated design of the house.
