White, Modern Condo in California
The designer kept detail, color and form intentionally minimal to make this compact condo seem larger and airier. The all-white palette puts the focus on the unit's ocean views, as well as the client's colorful collection of art and accessories.
Sometimes designers re-upholster a tabletop, to save money and get a certain texture. This table's design can be replicated by cutting a piece of wood, wrapping it in burlap and securing it to the top of the table, and lacquering it. “It gives you a great look that’s retro, but warm,” says Atlanta designer Michael Habachy.
Meticulously designed with special attention placed in the tiniest of details, every surface was considered. Traditional accessories and furnishings inspired by the Orient were combined with modern installations.
It is important for outdoor spaces to be an aesthetic object for the visual senses, says Nicolas Lee, who won a 2015 American Society of Landscape Architects honor award as a student at Harvard. This Atlanta condo terrace features plantings maintained by the complex. The millennial condo owner has also invested in a container plant.
The subtle masculinity of the condo also includes elements of Zen and relaxation, whether it's the ultra deep sofa created for many to enjoy at once or the oversized swivel chairs in the main room. If someone is ever lucky enough to see this high-rise jewel, it may not be a bad idea to toast the town from the fourteen-foot custom bar with floor-to-ceiling windows. Viva Las Vegas!
Meticulously designed with special attention placed in the tiniest of details, every surface was considered. This condo is full of luxurious textiles, rich color palettes, attractive textures and a daring mix of old and new.
A luxurious condo with an exciting and exquisite kitchen for a real cook. The warm wood tones soften the effect of the glossy cabinets and the cool marble. It is glamorous with a logical layout and top quality fixtures.
Traditional accessories and furnishings inspired by the Orient were combined with modern installations in this high rise condo. These components are what make innovation and finesse ooze from the space.
Although this cabinet and its accessories are a splurge item in an Atlanta condo, designer Michael Habachy says people on any budget should use low lighting, such as lamps, to illuminate treasures, cheap or expensive. “It adds ambience and doesn’t have to cost a lot,” he says.
